Abby joined the Great Plains Institute as part of CR Planning, a small urban planning firm that specialized in sustainability and energy. Initially, Abby will continue her work with communities in Minnesota and throughout the midwest to increase solar energy opportunities, analyze community resiliency, and help cities become more sustainable.
Prior to working at CR Planning, Abby began her career at the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Division of Energy Resources. At Commerce, she implemented local government energy efficiency programs, served as staff representative for the Clean Energy Resource Teams, and participated in the GreenStep Cities Steering Committee meetings.
Abby received a Master's of Urban and Regional Planning from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota in 2009 and a B.S. in Political Science from the University of Oregon in 2005.
