Steve Dahlke joined the Great Plains Institute in July 2012 as an Associate. His work focuses on the development of electric transmission infrastructure needed for renewable energy development. Furthermore, Steve works to reduce market barriers to advanced “Smart Grid” technologies like demand response and energy storage that will improve the efficiency of the electric system and help integrate renewable energy. He is involved in a number of Midwestern electricity planning and market initiatives. Steve received his Bachelor of Arts degree from St. John’s University  in 2012. His undergraduate thesis focused on energy storage technologies for renewable energy integration.
