We are pleased to announce that the Great Plains Institute (GPI) has earned the coveted four-star rating from Charity Navigator for the fifth year in a row. The rating demonstrates strong financial responsibility and a commitment to accountability and transparency. Charity Navigator is the nation’s largest and most-used nonprofit evaluator and this latest rating places GPI in the top 13 percent of the organizations it assesses.
“This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way,” said Michael Thatcher, president and CEO of Charity Navigator, in a letter to GPI announcing the new rating. “This exceptional designation sets The Great Plains Institute apart from its peers and demonstrates to the public its trustworthiness.”
The trust of our donors and funders is of paramount importance to GPI and critical as we work on the challenge of a generation, transforming the energy system to benefit the economy and environment. We are so grateful to the donors, funders, and partners who have invested in GPI’s transformational work and who make it possible for us to increase our impact on a local, regional, and national scale.
